Sweet Shop: A Closer Look

These are some of the minis I made many years ago, as a child in the early to mid 1980s and then briefly as an adult in the late 1990s. Most are made from polymer clay, but as a child I also liked to make use of scavenged items such as lentils and seeds. Back then I hadn’t yet discovered materials like liquid clay or soft pastels, or even learned any of the useful techniques for adding texture. The only extras I used at the time were acrylic paint, gloss varnish, and red beads (for cherries).
