I have so many polymer clay scraps left over from my Christmas ornament projects and will be using them in some jewelry pieces. The following are from my mokume gane project. At the moment they aren’t quite finished. I need to buy some additional jewelry findings before I can complete the projects. Each one will be a pendant and earring set.
For this first set, I used some Fimo turquoise clay textured with Lisa Pavelka’s Swirly Q texture stamp, then highlighted with Pearl Ex mica powder. The center stripe and the reverse are mica shift using the same texture and Premo pearl clay.

This teardrop set is very simple, with a backing of Premo purple clay, again using Lisa Pavelka’s Swirly Q texture stamp.

These pieces are similar to a couple of my Christmas ornaments, where I inlaid strips of the veneer within Premo black clay.

For this last set, I was experimenting with making an oval cabochon shape for the pendant. Since I don’t have any cabochon molds, I had to form it by hand. It was my first try and is a little lumpy looking. To make the small oval chips, I used up as much of the veneer as I could. I plan to use them in some dangly earrings.

It may take me a while to get around to finishing these pieces, since I’ve recently started three more projects using up my polymer clay crackle scraps, plus I’m anxious to continue working on my dollhouses. But I will post photos when they are complete.
