Continuing to take inspiration from the real-life Cantine del Vino già Schiavi, I glued brass rods into each section of shelving. This will eventually help keep the wine bottles secured in place.
The next step was the trickiest yet: gluing all the shelving to the walls. Because many components had not been assembled up until this point, a lot needed to come together all at once. I had to glue on the bases and assemble the entire section of shelving to the left of the counter, while at the same time gluing the counter and shelves to the three walls. (Before installing the shelves, I glued in place the liquor bottles, wine glasses, and corkscrews.)
