I bought six unfinished chairs and stained them the color “special walnut” to match the bar counter.
As I couldn’t find any suitable tables, I decided to build my own. I cut 3″ squares out of 1/8″-thick bass wood for the tabletops, used a 3/8″ dowel for the post, and glued 1/8″ by 3/8″ strips in a cross for the base.
I used the same stain for the tables.
My favorite part is the base, which I sanded to round over the edges.
Here are the tables and chairs inside the osteria.
